citizenship | the state of being vested with rights, privileges, and duties |
empathy | the ability to understand and share the feelings of another |
foresight | ability to predict what will happen or will be needed in the future |
gratitude | quality of being thankful; ready to show appreciation |
healthcare | maintenance and improvement of physical and mental health through medical services |
helping professions | careers that nurture the growth of problems a person has |
humanitarian | concerned with or seeking to promote human welfare |
longevity | long existence or service |
needs assessment | process for determining and addressing needs |
oath | solemn promise regarding one’s future action or behavior |
patient centered care | care that is respectful of, and responsive to, individual patient needs |
public health | health of the population as a whole |
selflessness | concern more with the needs and wishes of others than with yourself |
servant leadership | philosophy of leading others by putting the members’ needs over your own |
simulated work environment | learning environment in which a trainee is able to practice using and operating relevant industrial equipment under realistic workplace conditions. |
stewardship | job of supervising or taking care of something |
sustainability | ability to be maintained at a certain rate or level |
