| Term | Definition |

| Fill | includes patterns, solids, or shades that "fill" the inside of an object. |
| Shift clicking | means holding down the shift key while you click the mouse. (This is how you group objects.) |
| Handles | are small squares at the edges of a graphic. |
| Skewing | changing the shape and size of an object out of proportion. |
| Logo | is a graphic of symbol that represents an organization, like a business or a school. |
| Desktop Publishing | uses a computer to combine text, graphics, and artwork on a page to create an effective publication. |
| Graphics | pictures that illustrate the meaning of text. (Clip Art and Objects) |
| Clip Art | a collection of graphics that are already drawn and available for use. |
| Object | (Graphics you can draw) are squares, circles, and lines you can draw and manipulate. |
| Typeface | a design of type. |
| Font | a specific design of type, style, and size. |
| 2 types of fonts- | Serif (squiggles) & Sans Serif (no squiggles) |

| Symmetrical layouts | contain shapes and text that are in the same place on both sides of the page. |
