Week 10 General Computer Apps terms

TermDefinition
column the vertical arrangement of text in two or more side by side sections
insertion point location where text will begin, command will be inserted, or graphic will be placed
table tools object-specific tool tabs that contain commands to format and edit tables
table style a set of pre-formatted options that can be applied to quickly format tables
cell box in a table formed by the intersection of a row and column, where you enter information
formula formatting that does calculations based on data in the table
sort to arrange data in a specific order
Icon a small picture or symbol representing a command, file type, function, app, tool, or pretty much anything else you want an icon to represent
Word Art formatting feature that turns text into a graphic object
shade background color for a selection in a document
