Set Point The normal reading or range
Prostaglandin The lipid that is often referred to as a tissue hormone
Catalyst A chemical that reduces the amount of activation energy needed to start a chemical reaction
Enzymes Proteins that act as catalysts
Dermis The area referred to as true skin
Mesenchyme Connective tissue forms from stem cell tissue
Epiphyseal Plate It is where the bones grow in length
Cartilages It provides flexibility and smooth surfaces for movement
Extensibility The ability for muscle's to stretch or extend and to return to its resting length
Symphyses Joints joined by fibrocartilage
