Ergogenic Aids Any substance that is believed to enhance one's performance above normal standards
Ephedra a plant that can be synthesized in a lab to stimulate and increase your alertness
Caffeine Stimulates effect upon the brain and may reduce fatigue associated with long bouts of exercise
Narcotics taken for pain management need for more than a few days. Changes the way the body senses pain.
Beta Blockers Produce a relaxation of blood vessels which slows the heart rate.
Diuretics Increase kidney excretion and urine output. Used to lose body weight or quickly decrease drug concentration.
Anabolic Steroids Increase muscle size and strength but only accompanied by intense training.
Human Growth Hormone A hormone that is naturally produced by the pituitary gland.
Erythropoietin Increases the body's ability to transport oxygen to working muscles.
Local Anesthetics Deaden pain at the site where pain is felt in/ on your body.
Creatine A chemical that is part of a metabolic pathway that replenished ATP very rapidly.
