Week 12 General Computer App terms

screen clipping an image of all or part of the content displayed on a computer screen
character spacing the distance between characters in a line of text
clip art free, ready-made art distributed without copyright; usually cartoons, sketches, illustrations or photographs
character formatting formatting you can apply to selected characters
shade applying a background color to a specific element, like a paragraph or table cell
tabbed list a list that has been created by setting tab stops to create columns in just a selected portion of the text
object-specific tool tabs tabs that are activated when an object in a document is selected, which have to commands to format that object
live preview when you hover over a command and Word shows you the change in your document before you select it
text box graphic element used to display text and can be formatted like an object
wrap text setting which affects how objects move with and around text in a document
