What can be said to the taxpayer to give them confidence? Inform them that the information they provided is valuable, and that they are on their way to getting their issue resolved.
From an IA perspective, what does thorough research accomplish? First, it will ensure that I properly identify whether or not any collection, examination, or other account related issues exist. Second, whether or not any of them meet TAS criteria for acceptance.
If their is an open TAMIS case, what must I provide to the taxpayer? The CA's title, their last name, and contact telephone number.
