Claim Writers position or view.
Thesis statement Controlling idea over an entire piece of writing.
Tone The author's feeling in a given selection.

Opposing claim Evidence to disprove viewpoint.
Rebuttal statement that flows the counter that emphasizes the original claim.
Logical progression Writing that make sense from intro to conclusion.
Appropriate style Writing that is written the correct way.
Credible support A reliable source
Precise language Exact language written in a formal way.
Language facility putting ideas into words an forming meaningful sentences.
Objective tone Straightforward , factual info; no bias present.
Subjective tone opinionated tone; bias is present.
