| Objects | When you create one or more lines |
| Lines | What is cause when you draw in illustrator |
| Anchor Point | A point on a path that indicates a change in direction |
| Line Segment | A line with a start point and an endpoint |
| Path | A blank line that appears when you draw a line |
| Open Path | A path with separate anchor points on each end |
| Closed Path | A path where all anchor points are connected to each other |
| Shapes | Mathematical shapes |
| Transformations | Moving rotating, reflecting, scaling and shearing objects |
| Stacking Order | The order in which objects are stacked in illustrator |
| Selection Tool | Used to select entire objects |
| Direct Selection Tool | Selects points or path segments within objects |
| Stroke | A line of color that precisely follows a path |
| Fill | Characteristics of the inner area of and objects |
| Swatches | Named colors, tints, gradients, and patterns |
| Gradients | Graduated blend of two or more colors |
