Characteristics of an entrepreneur Decision-making An entrepreneur makes quick and clear decisions. They weigh up the pros and cons of a situation and choose the best options for the business. The entrepreneur takes full responsibility for all their decisions.
Social enterprise. A social enterprise/not for profit enterprise has a social or environmental aim.
Skills of an entrepreneur Entrepreneurs posseses a range of skills that help them to make their idea a success. They should be able to identify their entrepreneurial skills and exploit them to gain the largest benefit for themselvesand their business.
Rewards in enterprise Employees can be offered financial rewards for ideas used by the business to reduce costs or increase profits
Teamwork The business should give employees the oppurtunity to work in teams. This can encourage employees to brainstorm develop better ideas as a group.
Enterprise in school. Group of students organise a charity event. Ty students set up a business as part of the student enterprise awards programme.
Skill Is an ability to perform a particular task well. Skills can be learned and improved
Decision making in a home Parents decide to renovate a spare bedroom and rent it out to earn extra income
Decisions making in a school A group of students decide to organise a school bake sale to raise momey to fund a school trip
Intrapreneurship Employees of a business act like entrepreneurs within that business. The employees come up with new ideas, new ways of solving business p
Brainstormimg When people meet together to come up with as many ideas as possible.
