| Bibliography | Works cited list that contains only books. |
| Bookmark | A reference point, location, or selection of text that you can identify for future reference. |
| Caption | A line of text that describes an object, which can appear above or below the object it describes. |
| Citation | Note specifying the source of information. |
| Endnote | Placed in a list at the end of the document. |
| Footer | Appears at the bottom of a document page. |
| Footnote | Placed at the bottom of the page on which the citation is located. |
| Header | Appears at the top of a document page. |
| Hyperlink | A way to jump from one location to another, either within the same document or an external location. |
| Hyperlink transfer protocol | How the data is transferred to an external site through the servers. |
| MLA style | Must be single spaced with a hanging indent and double spacing between each footnote, while an endnote is double spaced with a first line indent. |
| Plagiarism | Comprising work by quoting, paraphrasing, or summarizing outside sources without giving credit. |
| Source | Includes all the information about where a specific element of the paper comes from, so the reader can find the original work. |
| Tab leader | The table of contents appears with a line when the distinctive option is selected. |
| Table of Authorities | Specialized type of bibliography used in legal documents. |
| Table of Contents | Ordered list of the headings in a document, along with the page numbers on which the headings are found. |
| Works Cited | A collection of sources that you place at the end of a document. |
