1. Benefits | a payment or gift made by an employer, the state, or an insurance company |
2. Compensation | the money received by an employee from an employer as a salary or wages. |
3. Compliance | the state or fact of according with or meeting rules or standards. |
4. Employee complaint | An issue brought forth by a staff member concerning the workplace |
5. Employee safety | Safety of workers refers to the provision of a safe environment, safe equipment and safe procedures in the workplace in order to ensure workers' health and safety |
6. Employee-assistance programs | An employee assistance program is an employee benefit program that assists employees with personal problems and/or work-related problems that may impact their job performance, health, mental and emotional well-being. |
7. Exit interview | an interview held with an employee about to leave an organization, typically in order to discuss the employee's reasons for leaving and their experience of working for the organization. |
8. Globalization | the process by which businesses or other organizations develop international influence or start operating on an international scale. |
9. Human resources | the personnel of a business or organization, especially when regarded as a significant asset. |
10. Human resources management | is the strategic approach to the effective management of people in a company or organization such that they help their business gain a competitive advantage. |
11. Job description | a formal account of an employee's responsibilities. |
12. Job specification | A statement of employee characteristics and qualifications required for satisfactory performance of defined duties and tasks comprising a specific job or function. |
13. On-boarding activities | new employees acquire the necessary knowledge, skills, and behaviors in order to become effective organizational members and insiders. |
14. On-the-job training | is a hands-on method of teaching the skills, knowledge, and competencies needed for employees to perform a specific job within the workplace |
15. Organizational restructuring | corporate management term for the act of reorganizing the legal, ownership, operational, or other structures of a company for the purpose of making it more profitable, or better organized for its present needs. |
16. Orientation | new joinee or a new employee is integrated into the organization by making him/her aware of his place of work, team members, his immediate reporting managers, the business in general, the policies, working hours, etc. |
17. Outsourcing | 1. contract (work) out or abroad. 2. obtain (goods or a service) from an outside or foreign supplier, especially in place of an internal source. |
18. Performance review | A performance review, also called a performance appraisal or performance evaluation, is a formal assessment in which managers evaluate an employee's work performance, identify strengths and weaknesses, offer feedback, and set goals for future performance. |
19. Professional development | Professional development is learning to earn or maintain professional credentials such as academic degrees to formal coursework, attending conferences, and informal learning opportunities situated in practice |
20. Recruiting | enroll (someone) as a member or worker in an organization or as a supporter of a cause. |
21. Staffing | provide (an organization, business, etc.) with staff. |
22. Strategic management | formulation and implementation of the major goals and initiatives taken by an organization's top managers on behalf of owners |
23. Strategic planning | defining its strategy, or direction, and making decisions on allocating its resources to pursue this strategy |
24. Telecommute | work from home, making use of the Internet, email, and the telephone. |
