Active Cell The cell where you are entering data. You can find the address for this cell in the "Name Box"
Sum The mathematical function used to add numbers.
Function A mathematical operation in a spreadsheet.
Formula Bar The area of a spreadsheet that shows a formula or function from a cell.
Row Cells that go across a spreadsheet headed by numbers
Cell The intersection of a column and row.
Cell Range The selection of more than one cell.
Column Cells that go down a spreadsheet headed by letters.
Average The number you get when you add all numbers in a set and then divide the total by the amount of numbers in the set.
Spreadsheet A piece of paper with rows and columns for recording financial or numerical data.
Excel The Microsoft spreadsheet software program.
