TermDefinition
Caption consist of few descriptive words, and are typically used for figures, tables, and equations.
Crop resizing, and positioning the picture in the document.
Drawing canvas when a user inserts an AutoShape or textbox into a document.
Embedded object When a picture becomes part of the document and is no longer connected to the original image.
Floating Object Word positions the image precisely on the page.
Inline object Move along with the text that surrounds it.
Linked object creates a connection between the document and the external picture file, but doesn't incorporate the images into the Word file.
Scale Increases or decreases the original picture height and width by a percentage.
Screen Clippings Enables you to draw a box and capture an image of it's contents.
Screenshot When you click the screenshot button a menu appears containing thumbnails of the computer's currently open windows.
Shapes Figures such as lines, rectangles, block arrows, equation shapes, flowcharts, stars, banners, and callouts.
Smart Art graphics Are graphical illustrations available from a list of various categories, including List diagrams, Process diagrams, Cycle diagrams, Hierarchy, diagrams, Relationship Diagrams, Matrix diagrams, and Pyramid diagrams.
WordArt is a feature that create decorative effects with text.
