| Ascending | Sorts text from beginning to end |
| Cells | The rectangles that are formed when rows & columns intersect |
| Cell Range | Identified by two or more cells within the table |
| Descending | Sorts text from the end to the beginning |
| Formulas | Used to calculate a total, compute an average, determine the highest/lowest number, and count values |
| Header Row | The first row of the table that contains information that helps identify the contents of a particular column |
| Merge Cells | To combine two or more cells into one |
| Quick Tables | Built-in preformatted tables, such as calendars and tabular lists, which you can insert and use in your documents |
| Sort | To arrange data alphabetically, numerically, or chronologically |
| Split Cells | To divide one cell into two or more cells |
| Table | An arrangement of data made up of horizontal rows and vertical columns |
