Lesson 6: Creating Tables

| Ascending | Sorts text from beginning to end. |
| Cells | Rectangles that form when rows and columns intersect. |
| Cell Range | Two or more cells within a table. |
| Descending | Sorts text from end to beginning. |
| Formulas | Simple functions that begin with an equal symbol. |
| Header Row | The first row of a table that contains information that helps identify the contents of a particular column. |
| Merge Cells | To combine two or more cells into one. |
| Quick Tables | Built-in preformatted tables which you can insert and use in your documents. |
| Sort | To arrange data alphabetically, numerically, or chronologically. |
| Split Cells | To divide one cell into two or more cells. |
| Table | An arrangement of data made up of horizontal rows and vertical columns. |
