TermDefinition
Column Vertical blocks of text in which text flows from the bottom of one column to the top of the nect
Hyphenation Provides options to hyphenate words in a document automatically or manually
Landscape orientation Commonly used for brochures, grphs, and tables
Margins The area of white s[ace that border the top
Non-breaking spaces Wraps texr in the nect line to avoid awkward breaks at the right margin
Orphan The first line of a paragraph that appears alone at the bottom of a page
Page break The location in a document where one-page ends, and a new page begins
Portrait orientation Commonly used for business documents, extends across the shorter length of the document
Section break Used to create multiple sections in the same document
Widow The last line of a paragraph that appears as a single line of text at the top of a page
