Paragraph Formatting

TermDefinition
Alignment Identation and spacing between paragraphs.
Frist-line Indent Inserts a blank space between the left margin and the first line of the paragraph. (explain- one- half inch is the default setting for this indent.)
Hanging Indent Begins at the first full line of the text in a paragraph at the left margin ; all the remaining lines in the paragraph are the indented for the left margin.(example)Common in legal documents and bibliography pages.
Indent Is a blank space inserted between the text and the left or right margin.
Leaders Tab LEADERS are symbols such as dotted, dashes, or solid lines. That fill space before a tab .
Line spacing is paragraph based and can be customized by specifying a point size.
Negative Indent Extends paragraph into the left margin
