Lesson 5 Managing Text FLow

TermDefinition
Columns vertical blocks of texts in which text flows from the bottom of one column to the top of the next
Hyphenation provides options to hyphenate words in a document automatically or manually
Landscape orientation orients text across the longer dimensions of the page
Margins areas of white space the border the top, bottom, and sides of a document
Non-Breaking spaces wraps text to the next line to avoid awkward breaks at the right margin
Orphan first line of the paragraph that appears alone at the bottom of a page
Page Break the location in a document where one page ends and a new page begins
Portrait Orientation text extends across the border length of a document
Section Break used to create multiple sections in the same document
Widow Last line of a paragraph that appears as a single line of text at the top of a page
