Entrepreneur | Spots a gap in the market and turns it into a business. They take financial and personal risks in hope to earn a profit. |
Investor | Gives money to an entrepreneur to set up their business, in return for shares in the business. |
Loan capital | Entrepreneur takes a loan from investor and pays it back with interest. |
Grant | Money given from the government to an entrepreneur that doesn’t need to be paid back as long as they meet certain requirements eg. create so many jobs. |
Equity Capital | Money invested in a business by an individual or a business in return for the entitlement to shares in a business. (Dividends) |
Employer | Recruits staff in order to enable the business to run. |
Employees | Recruited to work in a business in return for a salary/wage |
Producer | Takes raw material and transforms them into a finished product. |
Consumer | People who buy or avail of a service for their own purpose. |
Manager | Responsible for the day-to-day running of a business. |
Supplier | Supplies a business with raw materials. |
Service provider | Provides a service for a business in order for it to operate successfully. Eg. Insurance firms |
