Word Lesson 4 Paragraph Formatting
Term | Definition |

Alignment | Determines the appearance and orientation of the edges of the paragraph. |
First-line indent | Used for keeping the first line of the paragraph indented from the normal border. |
Hanging indent | Guideline for formatting. |
Indent | Start or position further from the margin than the main part of the text. |
Leaders | Symbols such as dotted, dashed, or solid lines that fill the space before a tab. |
Line spacing | The vertical distance between lines of text. |
Negative indent | An indent where the text is displaced into the left margin if text direction is set to left-to-right, or toward the right margin if text direction is set to right-to-left. |
