Word Lesson 3

TermDefinition
Character Any single letter, number, symbol, or punctuation mark.
Character-Spacing The spacing in and around each character of text.
Character-Styles Applied to individual characters or words that you select.
Font A typeface that applies a style of characters.
Live Preview The selected text changes with a preview about what it would look like with that font.
Paragraph Styles When selected, the format is applied instantly to all text in the paragraph where the insertion point is located, whether or not that text is selected.
Point Size Refers to the height of characters, which range from 8 point to 72 point size or higher.
Text Effects Adds a distinctive appearance to selected text, such as outline, shadow, glow, and reflection.
Word Art A feature that creates decorative effects with text.
