Lesson 3 Vocabulary

TermDefinition
Character Any single letter, number, symbol, or punctuation mark
Character-spacing Refers to the spacing in and around each character of text
Character style Applied to individual characters or words that you select
Font Changes the appearance of text
Live previous See how the text changes
Paragraph style The format is applied instantly to all text in the paragraph when the insertion point is located
Point size The height of characters with one point equaling approximately ½ of an inch
Text Effect A character appearance to selected text
WordArt A feature that creates decorative effects with text
