Character Formatting

TermDefinition
Character Any single letter, number, symbol, or punctuation mark
Character Spacing Refers to the spacing in and around each character of the text
Character Styles Applied to individual characters or word that you select
Font Typeface that applies a style to characters
Live Preview What it would look like wit the font
Paragraph Styles The format is applied instantly to all text in the paragraph where in the insertion point is located, whether the text is selected
Point Size Refers to the height of characters, with one point equaling approximately 1/72
Text Effects Adds a distinctive appearance to selected text, such as an outline, shadow, glow, and reflection
WordArt A feature that creates decorative effects with texts.
