Basic editing
Term | Definition |

Autocorrect | Feature that replaces symbols, commonly misspelled words and abbreviations with specific text strings |
Clipboard | Stores the item for you to paste in other location of the document or another office file |
Copy | When you copy text, word places a duplicate copy in the clipboard |
Cut | Word removes it from the original location and places the text in the clipboard collection |
Document properties | Identify the creator of the document, the date the document was created, its subject and category and keywords that can be used to search a document |
Go to | Go to command opens the same dialog box with go to as the active tab |
Navigation Pane | Easily locate specific text, graphics, objects, and equations within a document. |
Object Zoom | In read mode enables you to zoom in objects such as tables, charts, or images while in read mode |
Paste | The paste command then pastes texts from the clipboard to a new location in either the original document or new document |
Read mode | Changes the page layout of the document with a larger font for easier reading |
cReplace | Opens the find and replace the dialog box with replace as the active tab |
Thumbnails | Page images |
Wildcard | Characters to find words or phrases that contain specific or combinations of letters |
