Character Formatting

TermDefinition
Character any single letter, number, symbol, or punctuation mark
Character Spacing refers to the spacing in and around each character of text
Character Styles applied to individual characters or words that you select
Font a typeface that applies a style to characters
Live Preview what the text would look like in that font
Paragraph styles format is applied to all text in the paragraph where the insertion point is located
Point size refers to the height of characters, with one point equaling about 1/72 of an inch.
Text Effects add a distinctive appearance to selected text, such as outline, shadow, glow, and reflection
WordArt a feature that creates decorative effects with text.
