Word Lesson - 3

TermDefinition
Character Any single letter, number, symbol, or punctuation mark.
Character-spacing refers to the spacing in and around each character of text
Character-styles are applied to individual character or word that you select
Font A typeface that applies a style to characters
Live preview The selected text changes with a live preview of what it would look like in that font
Paragraph styles The format is applied instantly to all text in the paragraph where the insertion point is located whether or not the text is selected
Point size refers to the height of character, with one point equaling approximately 1/72 of an inch.
Text Effects add a distinctive appearance to selected text.
WordArt WordArt is a feature that creates decorative effect with text.
