Basic editing

TermDefinition
autocorrect a feature that replaces symbols, commonly misspelled words, and abbreviations with specific text strings.
clipboard stores the items for you to paste in another location of the document or another Office file.
copy Making a duplicate of chosen file/text
cut Getting rid of/ deleting a file/ text chosen
document properties contains information such as the author’s name, subject, company, and much more accessed in backstage view
go to opens the same dialog box with Go To as the active tab.
navigation pane contains commands for moving and searching through a document.
object zoom enables you to zoom in on objects such as tables, charts, or images while in Read Mode.
paste pastes text from the Clipboard to a new location in either the original document or a new document after copying
read mode changes the page layout of the document with a larger font for easier reading
replace opens the Find and Replace dialog box with Replace as the active tab.
thumbnails also known as page image
wildcard find words or phrases that contain specific letters or combinations of letters.
