Backstage View A screen that appears when you click the file tab in word 2016
I-Beam When your cursor near it changes to a large I
Command A button, list or other clickable option on the Ribbon
Ribbon Contains Multiple commands on separate tabs
Dialog Box A box that prompts the user for additional information
Dialog Box Launcher A small icon on the ribbon that opens up a dialog box related to that group
Group Collections of related Word Commands
Quick Access Toolbar Is located above the Ribbon and contains commands that users access most often
Tab A labeled section of the Ribbon that contains a group of related
Block Style Format aligns text along the left margin
Insertion Point The blinking in the upper left corner of the document
Menu Provides access to Mail, Microsoft Edge, Photos, games, music, videos
Mixed Punctuation Requires a colon after the situation and a comma after the closing
Non-Printing Characters Are symbols for certain formatting commands
Open Punctuation Requires no punctuation after the solution or the closing
Preview Enables you to view your document as it being printed
Print Prints the document to the default printer using the default tab setting
Repeat Repeats your last action
Save In the Quick Access Toolbar for the first time opens the Save As screen.
Save As Appears as a command listed in Backstage view when you click the File tab
Settings Control document-specific print parameters
Templates A master document with predefined page layout, fonts, margins, and styles
undo lets you cancel or undo your last Word command or action
White Space Is the space between pages of the document
Word Wrap Automatically wraps text to the next line as it reaches the right margin
