Excel - Lesson 1

TermDefinition
Name Box Indicates the current cell you are in as well as given the opportunity to name the cell.
Quick Access Toolbar Gives you fast and easy access to the tools you use most often.
Ribbon Displays across the top of the windows organized into task oriented command tabs.
Row Starts from left edge of worksheet and moves to the right.
Screentips Small onscreen boxes that display descriptive text.
Workbook A physical book with many pages.
Worksheet A sheet where you input information.
Column Starts at the top of worksheet and goes down.
Cell Identified by intersection of column and row.
Command group Commands and options related to the name.
Command tab divided into specific command groups.
Backstage View Provides access to file management commands.
Active cell is outlined by a bold rectangle.
Help System A tab that provides help.
Keytip Similar to Screentips.

Voices
