word lesson 1 understanding word

l-beam | a mouse cursor, indicating that the mouse is over a area where can text can be typed. |
intersection point | distinguishing these cases and finding the intersection point. |
menu | list of options associated with them |
mixed punctuation | requires a colon of after the salutation and comma after the closing. |
nonprinting characters | which are symbols for certain formatting commands |
open punctuation | requires no punctuation after the salutation of the closing. |
preview | is the image viewer and pdf viewer of the macos operating system. |

white space | is the space between pages of the document |
word wrap | automatically wraps text to the next line as it reaches to the right margin. |
