Ethics law and legal system key terms
| Term | Definition |

| Administrative Law | The body of law that regulates the operation and procedures of government agencies |
| Case Law | The law as established by the outcome of former cases |
| English Common Law | The body of law derived from judicial decisions |
| Ethics | Moral principles that govern a person’s behavior |
| Greatest Good | A goal put forth for governments, they should be judged by the results of their policies |
| Law of Precedent | A legal case that establishes a rule (Authority) |
| Statutory Law | A written law passed by a body of legislature |
| The Golden Rule | Always to be followed to ensure success |
| Consequential Ethical Reasoning | Consequences of ones conduct are the ultimate basis for any judgment about the rightness or wrongness of that conduct |
