Terms having to do with different parts of blood

phagocyte WBC responsible for cell mediated immunity
Thrombocyte Platelet responsible for Clotting
Leukocyte White Blood Cell
Anaphylaxis Hyper allergic reaction
anemia condition marked by RBC dificiency
purpura multiple pinpoint hemorrhages under the skin
pancytopenia dificiency of all blood cells
bleeding time time taken for a small punture wound to stop bleeding
fibrin insoluble protein that form the basis of a clot
hemophilia heriditory, sex linked bleeding disorder
leucopenia Decrease in WBCs
Hct Hematocrit
PTT partial thromboplastin Time
H & H Hematocrit and Hemoglobin
ELISA Enzyme- linked immunosorbent assay test
ESR Erythrocyte sedimentation Rate
CBC Complete Blood Count
Dif Count Differential count of WBC's
