Know the three cloud service models. NIST (National Institute of Standards and Technology) recognizes three possible cloud service models: Software as a Service (SaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS), and Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS).
Know the four different cloud delivery models. NIST recognizes four possible cloud delivery models: private, public, community, and hybrid.
Know the purpose of the hypervisor. The hypervisor is the element (software/hardware) that allows a virtual machine to exist.
Know the hypervisor types. A Type I hypervisor is known as bare metal and runs as both hypervisor and operating system. A Type II hypervisor is known as hosted, and it runs on top of another operating system.
