Term | Definition |

Publication | a document containing text and graphics that is distributed in print or online. |
Font | The appearance of the typed text. |
logo | a picture or graphic that visually represents a company of business. |
Flyer | a sign that usually contains informational or promotional material. |
Format | to change the appearance of text, objects, shapes, wordart, textboxes, etc. |
Page borders | allows you to out a border (line, picture, or other artwork) around the whole page. |
Line color | allows you to add color to the outside line of selected objects (shapes, wordart, textboxes, etc.) |
Fill color | allows you to add color to the outside line of selected objects (shapes, wordart, text boxes, etc) |
Shading | allows you to add color to selected areas on the page (shapes, wordart, textboxes, etc) |
Page layout | the way objects, shapes, and text are arranged on the page. |
Group | when many objects are used to make one object so that they can be moved or resized all at once. |
Brochure | a small booklet or pamphlet, often containing informational or promotional material. |
Text wrapping | formatting for the pictures that specifies how the text wraps around the whole page. |
Text box | a box that can be colored or transparent and automatically allows you to type within its boundaries. |
Shapes | a box that can be drawn on your page; you can add color, patterns or text to these objects. |
Bulleted list/numbered list | formatting for text that allows you to create lists throughout your document. |
Table | a box that contains rows and columns and is used to organize data. |
