Publishing Vocab

Vocab

TermDefinition
Publication a document containing text and graphics that is distributed in print or online.
Font the appearance of the typed text.
Logo a picture or graphic that visually represents a company of business.
Flyer a sing that usually contains information or promotional material.
Format to change the appearance of text, objects shapes wordart textboxes .
Page borders allow you to put a border ( line, picture or other artwork ) around the whole page.
Line color allow you to add color to the outside line of selected objects (shapes, words art, text boxes, ect)
Fill color Allows you to add color to selected areas on the page
Shading allows you to add color to selected areas on the page
Page layout they way objects shapes and texts are arranged on the page.
Group when many objects are use to make another object so that they can be move or resized all at once.
Brochure a small booklet or pamphlet, often containing information or promotional materials.
Text wrapping formatting for the picture that specifies how the text wraps around the whole page.
Text box A box that can be color or transparent and automatically allows you to type within its boundaries.
Shapes objects that can be drawn on your page you can add color patterns or text to these objects.
Bulleted List/Numbered List formatting for text that allows you to create lists throughout your document.
Tables a box that contains rows and columns and is used to organize data.
