Publishing Vocab

Vocab

TermDefinition
Publication A document containing text and graphics that is distributed in print or online.
Font The appearance of the typed text.
Logo A picture or graphic that visually represents a company of business.
Flyer A sign that usually contains informational or promotional material.
Format To change the appearance or text, objects, shapes, wordart, textboxes. etc.
Page borders Allows you to put a border (line, picture, or other artwork) around the whole page.
Line color Allows you to add color to the outside line of selected objects (shapes, word art, text boxes, etc.)
Fill color Allows you to add color to the inside of selected objects (shapes, wordarts, text boxes, etc.)
Shading Allows you to add color to selected areas on the page (shapes, word art, text boxes, etc)
Page layout The way objects, shapes, and text are arranged on this page.
Group When many objects are used to make one object so that they can be moved or resized all at once.
Brochure A small booklet or pamphlet, often contaniting information or promotinal material.
Text wrapping formatting for the pictures that specifies how the text wraps around the whole page.
Text box A box that can be colored or transparent and automatically allow you to type within its boundaries.
Shapes objects that can be drawn on your page; you can add color patterns or text to these objects.
Bulleted List/NUmbered List formatting for that allows you to create lits throughout ypur document.
Table A box that contains rows and columns and is used to organize data.
