| Term | Definition |

| Publication | a document containing text and graphics that is distributed in print or online |
| Font | the appearance of the typed text |
| Logo | a picture or graphic that visually represents a company of business |
| Flyer | a sign that usually contains informational or promotional material |
| Format | to change the appearance of text, objects, shapes, word art, text boxes, etc |
| Page borders | allows you to put a border (line, picture, or other artwork) around the whole page |
| Line color | allows you to add color to the outside line of selected objects (shapes, word arts, text boxes, etc.) |
| Fill color | allows you to add color to the inside of selected objects (shapes, wordarts, text boxes, etc.) |
| Shading | allows you to add color to selected areas on the page (shapes, word art, text boxes, etc) |
| Page layout | the way objects, shapes, and text are arranged on the page |
| Group | when many objects are used to make one object so that they can be moved or resized all at once |
| Brochure | a small booklet or pamphlet, often containing informational or promotional material |
| Text wrapping | formatting for the pictures that specifies how the text wraps around the whole page |
| Text box | a box that can be colored or transparent and automatically allows you to type within its boundaries. |
| Shapes | objects that can be drawn on your page; you can add color, patterns or text to these objects |
| Bulleted List/Numbered List | formatting for text that allows you to create lists throughout your document |
| Table | a box that contains rows and columns and is used to organize data |
