Publishing Vocab

vocab

TermDefinition
Publication a document containing text and graphics that is distributed in print or online.
Font The appearance of the typed text.
logo A picture or graphic that visually represents a company or business.
Flyer A sign that usually contians informational or promotional material
Format To change the appearance of text, objects, shapes, wordart, textboxes, etc.
page borders allows you to put a border (line, picture, or other artwork) around the whole page.
Line colors allows you to add color to the outside line of selected objects( shapes wordarts, text boxes,etc.)
Fill color allows you to add color to the inside of the selected objects(shapes, wordarts,, text boxes, etc.)
shading allows you to add color to the selected areas on the page.
page layout the way the object, shapes, and text are arranged on the page.
group when many objects are used to make one object so that they cna be moved or resized all at once.
Brochure a small booklet or pamhlet, often containing informational or promotional material.
Text wrapping formatting for the pictures that specifies how the wraps around the whole page.
text box a box that can be colored or transparent and automatically allows you to type within its boundaries.
shapes objects that can be drawn on your page ; you can add color, patterns or text to these objects
bulleted list/numbered list formatting for text that allows you to create lists thoughout your document.
table a box that contains row and columns and is used to organize data.
