Publishing Vocab

TermDefinition
Publication A document containing text and graphics that is distibuted in print or online0
Font The appearance of the typed text
Flyer a sign that usually contains informational or promotional material
Format To change the appearance of text, objects, shapes, wordart, textboxes,ect.
Page borders allows you to put a border(line,pictures, or other artwork) around the whole page
Line color allows you to add color to the outside line of selected objects (shapes, word art, text boexes, ect.)
Fill color allows you to add color to the inside of selected objects (shapes, word art, text boxes, ect.)
Shading allows you to add color to selected areas on the page (shapes, word art, text boxes, ect.)
Page layout the way objects, shapes, and text are arranged on the page
Group When many objects are used to make one object so that they can be moved or resized all at once.
Brochure A small booklet or pamplet, often containing informational or promational material
Text wrapping Formatting of the pictures the specfies how the text around object (shape, pictures, ect.) on the page
Text box a box that can be drawn on your page; you can add color, patterns or text to these objects
Shapes Objects that can be drawn on your page; you can add color, patterns, or text to these objects+
Bulleted List/Numbered List formatting for text that allows you to create lists throughout your document
Table a box that contains rows and columns and is used to organize data
