Publishing Vocab

Vocab

TermDefinition
Publication A document containing text and graphics the is distributed in print or online.
Font The appearance of the typed text.
Logo A picture or graphic that visually represents a company or business.
Flyer A sing that usually contains information or promotional material.
Format To change the appearance of text, objects, shaped,wordart, text boxes, etc.
Page Borders Allows you to put a border (line,picture,or other artwork)around the whole page.
Line Color Allows you to add color to the outside lines of selected objects(shapes,word arts,text boxes,etc.)
Fill Color Allows you to add to the inside of selected objects(shapes,word arts,text boxes,etc.)
Shading Allows you to add color to selected areas on the page (shapes, word art, text boxes, etc).
Page Layout The way the object, shapes, and text are arranged on the page.
Group When many objects are used to make one object so that they can be moved or realized all at once.
Brochure A small booklet or pamphlet, often containing information or promotional material.
Text Wrapping Formatting for the pictures that specifies how the text wraps around the whole page.
Text Box A box that can be colored or transparent and automatically allows you to type within its boundaries.
Shapes Objects that can be drawn on your page; you can add color, patterns or text to these objects.
Bulleted List/Numbered List Formatting for text that allows you to create lists thought your document.
Table A box that contains rows and columns and is used to organised data.
