Term | Definition |
---|---|
Cell | The intersection of a column and a row in a table or worksheet |
Content Control | A special placeholder designed to contain a specific type of text such as a date or the page number |
Document Information Panel | A pane that you can display at the top of the document window in which you can view or add properties to the document |
Footer | Text that is printed at the bottom of each page |
Gridline | The lines form the table that form rows and columns |
Header | Text that is printed at the top of each page |
Orphan | The last line of a paragraph at the top of the page |
Page Break | The place where one page ends and another begins |
Property | Identifying info about a file that is saved along with the file such as the author’s name and the date the file was created |
Section | A part of the document where you can apply a layout, headers and footers, page numbers, margins, orientation, and other formatting features different from the rest of the document |
Sort | To arrange a list of words or numbers in ascending or descending order |
Table | Text or pictures arranged in columns and rows |
Widow | The first line of a paragraph at the bottom of the page |
