Terms and definitions for review and practice
| Term | Definition |

| Art Medium | The type of tools that artists use to create their pieces of art work. |
| Background | The part of the artwork that looks furthest away. |
| Birds-Eye View | When it looks like we are looking down from above. |
| Blend | Mixing two or more colors together. |
| Close-Up | A very close view of an object or subject. |
| Cool Colors | Blue, green, and purple. These colors bring the feeling of being cold, places, and feelings. |
| Foreground | The piece or part of the artwork that looks closest to you. |
| Landscape | A piece of artwork that is of the land like mountains, trees, and fields. |
| Mood | The feeling created in a work of art. |
| Portrait | A piece of art showing a person, an animal, or a group of people that is usually focused on the face. |
| Primary Colors | Red, Blue, and Yellow |
| Secondary Colors | Green, Orange, and Violet |
| Realistic | A piece of artwork that looks very real. |
| Sketch | A quick drawing usually to explore an idea or a medium. |
| Thumbnail | A small drawing usually used to prepare for a larger project or piece of art. |
