Reusing a Presentation and Adding Media and Animation

TermDefinition
color saturation Color adjustment that changes the intensity of colors.
color cast A subtle tint of one color, generally red, green or blue, that causes an image to appear unrealistic.
grayscale Recolor effect that changes a color photo into black, white, and shades of gray.
sepia Recolor effect that changes a color photo into brown, gold, and yellow, reminiscent of a faded photo.
recolor Color effect that convers a photo into a wide variety of hues.
Bring Forward Command that moves an object toward the top of the stack of objects.
Send Backward Command that moves the selected object underneath another object.
Bring to Front Command that moves a selected object to the top of the stack.
Send to Back Command that moves a selected object underneath all objects on a slide.
center Placing paragraphs between the left and right placeholder borders.
left-align Text alignment where the first character of each line is even with the first character above or below it.
right-align Text alignment where the last character of each line is even with the last character of each line above or below it.
justified Text alignment where the first and last characters of each line are aligned and extra space is inserted between words to spread the characters evenly across the line.
Slide Sorter view PowerPoint view that occupies the full computer screen.
Reading view PowerPoint view that displays each slide individually, but the slides do not fill the entire screen.
ungroup Break a graphic into its component objects.
regroup Reassemble all ungrouped objects into a single unit.
Office Clipboard A temporary storage location that can hold a maximum of 24 text or graphics items copied from any Office program.
full screen Display method in which a video fills the entire slide.
Trim Video Feature that allows you to trim the beginning and end of a clip by designating a desired Start Time and End Time.
Trim Audio Feature that allows you to set the beginning and end of a sound clip.
custom animations Custom animation effects, such as entrance, exit, emphasis, and motion paths, you can use to meet your unique needs.
entrance effects Custom animation effect that determines how slide elements first appear on a slide.
exit effects Custom animation effect that determines how slide elements disappear.
emphasis effects Custom animation effect that modifies text and objects displayed on the screen.
