| Power – Ability to make things happen | |
| Position Power – Authority given based purely on a given position or office | |
| Reward Power – The extent of one’s power to control the giving of rewards. | |
| Expert Power – Power given based on knowledge and expertise. | |
| Identity Power - ability to influence others based on their identity with the person | |
| Leadership Style - the manner and approach of providing direction, implementing plans, and motivating people to accomplish a task | |
| Initiative – An individual’s action that begins a process. | |
| Human Relations – A discipline concerning interpersonal behaviors | |
| Integrity – An adherence to one’s own personal code or moral values | |
| Autocratic Leadership - one person controls all the decisions and takes very little inputs from other group members | |
| Democratic Leadership – A team guided by a leader where all team members are given a say in decision making | |
| Free-rein Leadership – Leadership style where subordinates are not closely supervised and must prove their worth on their own | |
| Delegate - entrust a task or responsibility to another person, typically one who is less senior than oneself | |
| Self-managed teams – A self-organized team where all members make their decisions | |
| Open Leader - having the confidence and humility to give up the need to be in control while inspiring commitment from people to accomplish goals | |
| Situational Leader – Flexible leader who is able to lead under certain circumstances. |
