Caption Few descriptive words and typically used for figures, tables, and equations
Crop Trim the horizontal or vertical edges to remove unwanted areas
Drawing canvas A guide
Embedded object An inserted picture that becomes part of the document and is no longer connected to the original image
Floating object Placed precisely on the page and text can wrap around it
Inline object A picture that moves along text surrounding it
Linked object Creates a connection between the document and the external picture file
Scale Increases or decreases the original picture’s height and width by a percentage
Screen Clippings Enables you to draw a box and capture and image of its contents
Screenshot Capture images of part or current screen display
Shapes Figures such as lines, rectangles, block arrows, equation shapes, flowcharts, stars, banners, and callouts
Smart Art graphics Preformatted designs with place holders that enable you to enter caption text
WordArt Creates decorative effects with text
