QuestionAnswer
Caption A few descriptive word typically used to describe figures, tables and equations.
Crop Resizing and positioning the picture in the document.
Drawing canvas A guide to draw shapes.
Embedded object When you insert a picture, Word automatically makes it a part of the document and not connected to the original image.
Floating object Word positions image precisely on the page and allows text to wrap around it.
Inline object A picture that moves with the text that surrounds it.
Linked object Creates a connection between the document and external picture file but doesn’t incorporate image into the Word file.
Scale Increases or decreases the original pictures height and weight by a percentage.
Screen Clippings Enables you to draw a box and capture an image of it’s contents.
Screenshot A picture of what is on your computer screen.
Shapes Figures such as lines, rectangles, block arrows, equation shapes, flowcharts, stars, banners, and callouts.
Smart Art graphics Graphical illustrations available from a list of various categories including List diagrams.
WordArt Creates decorative effects with text.
