TermDefinition
Ascending An order that sorts text from beginning to end, such as A-Z or 1-10.
Cells Rectangles that are formed when rows and columns intersect.
Cell range Two or more cells within the table.
Descending An order that sorts from end to beginning, like 10-1 or Z-A.
Formulas A command that calculates something.
Header row The first row of the table that usually contains information that helps identify the table.
Merge cells To combine 2 or more cells into 1.
Quick Tables Built in, pre-formatted tables.
Sort To arrange data alphabetically, numerically, or chronologically.
Split cells To divide one cell into two or more cells.
table An alignment of data mad up of horizontal and vertical columns.
