TermDefinition
Character Any single letter, number, symbol, or punctuation mark.
Character spacing Refers to the spacing in and around each character of the text.
Character styles Something that is applied to individual characters or words that you select.
Font Typeface that applies a style to characters.
Live preview A preview of what the text would look like with a font.
Paragraph styles The format applied instantly to all text in a paragraph where the insertion point is located, whether or not that text is selected.
Point size Refers to the height of the characters
Text Effects Add a distinctive appearance to the selected text, such as outline, shadow, glow and reflection.
WordArt A feature that creates decorative effects with text.
