Lesson 3 Vocabulary

TermDefinition
Character Is an single letter, number, symbol, or punctuation mark.
Character spacing Refers to the spacing in and around each character of text.
Character styles Are applied to individual characters or words that you select.
Font A typeface that applies a style to characters.
Live preview What the selected text looks like what it would look like in that font.
Paragraph styles When you select this the format is applied instantly to all text in the paragraph where the insertion point is located.
Point sized Refers to the height of characters.
Text effects Adds a distinctive appearance to selected text, such as outline, shadow, glow, and reflection.
Word art A feature that created decorative effects for text.
